How To Find the Website Building Tools
This area seems to be frustrating to so many folks. Just how and where do you find the proper tools to build your website? There are soo many different answers to this question and I have found that it isn’t always on what are the proper tools, as much as what YOU feel the most comfortable with.
There are a lot of web designers out there that swear by Frontpage and/or Dreamweaver, and then there are others that build their websites completely in Notepad or with a simple HTML editor, so what is the best way to build your website?
This completely does depend on you and what level you are at.
I personally use a HTML editor called Kompozer I have used many others throughout the years, but I have found that I personally, perfer to see what I am doing while I am doing it and I don’t have this big budget to purchase things like Frontpage and/or Dreamweaver and have found that a simple no cost HTML editor such as Kompozer does the job just fine.
With any new type of software there is always a learning curve to go through, but I have found not only for myself but for some I have taught, that the simple HTML editors that you can download free, work just as good as anything else out there.
Now keep in mind, I’m discussing building a website, Not designing graphics or that stuff.
With these editors you do not have to know much at all about HTML or how things work, but it is highly recommended you at least know some basic HTML, which will not take you years or months to learn.
So for the tools that you need to have in place to build a website -
1. An HTML editor of some sort. I highly recommend you give Kompozer a try, it’s free and it’s easy to use
2. You will need an FTP program, so you can take what you saved to your hard drive and move it to your hosting account. For more information on FTP you can read my article at How to get your website online
3. You should also get an autoresponder so you can collect your prospects information to build that list! Now I’ve used free and paid companies, and have come to the conclusion that the paid way is the way to go! So if you need to get your hands on a good autoresponder I highly recommend Aweber!
4. Of course you will need hosting and there I recommend Hostgator
5. Then of course a domain name which you can get at Godaddy
There you go 5 important tools you need to have, at no cost to little cost to get your first website online and collecting information or sales for you.
Until next time Take Action!

How do I Make a Website?
Let’s talk about first what is the purpose of your website? There are a lot of reasons why folks put up a website, so you first need to decide what the purpose is, before asking How do I make a website?
Some common reasons people want to make a website, they want to make money online; they want to build a list of their own; they want to sell products; they wish to share experiences and photos with family and friends.
As you can see there are many reasons some one will put a website online. So depending of course what your reason is will depend on how you make a website.
If you are interested in selling products or services, then I suggest you take the time to learn about the coding aspect of HTML where you can control what your webpage does and looks like. This is not difficult to do and if you go and pick up the ebook Introduction to the Basics of Webdesign it will walk you through the process of making a website.
If you are just wanting to make a website for sharing photos and experiences with family and friends? My first thought is to use a Blog and not a website, this way you can interact with them about what you write about. It is much easier this way than to figure out website designing. I would recommend that you first start out checking this website out WordPressMadeEasy.net
Some things to consider on how do you make a website is that you will need a few things, you can’t just put a website up at no cost, well you could, of course get one of those free services at Yahoo or something, but you don’t have much control there. I highly recommend that you get some hosting and a domain name of your own.
For hosting I highly recommend and use – Hostgator they are reliable and very supportive of your needs
For domain name registration I highly recommend – Godaddy.com they are inexpensive and very reliable and helpful.
Your next step is to find a FTP program/software that will let you upload your work to your host. You will also need to find a way edit your HTML file, these are easy to find and do not cost you anything to use.
But there very first thing you need to remember is what is your website going to do? Before asking the question How do I make a website?
Again, I’d like to highly recommend the ebook Introduction to the basics of Webdeisgn it has complete stey by steps to follow and you can start using it today to make a website.
I hope this has helped and will give you some tips on where to get started.
Please do leave your comments below and questions and I’ll be glad to help you out.
