Name Squeeze Pages – What Are They and Why Do You Need Them?
In the Internet Marketing world today, there are many terms that are used. Some of the names change, but the meaning is still the same. Take the name Squeeze Pages, they are also called landing pages, lead generatoring pages, and others. But they all do the same thing. They capture a visitors name and email address for the person.
If you aren’t familiar with the term opt-in list, it is simply a list of people who have agreed to receive periodic emails from you. They have willingly supplied you with their name and email address.
A squeeze page is usually a one page website, that has an opt-in form on it. Once a person enters their information, which can be anywhere from just their name and email address, to also include phone numbers, street addresses, and more, they are now on a list to recieve information on a certain subject.
This opt-in list is gold to any Internet Marketer, it’s their livelyhood!
One your squeeze page, you want to detail out as much information about what it is you are exchanging for their information, most people will gladly give you their name and email address for valuable and free information. Your information must be of good content and up to date.
This can be anywhere from a free report, to a free download of software.
These names are now put into an auto responder and yours, use them wisely do not spam them! Send them information either weekly or monthly about the subject they opted-in for. Do not send advertisements all the time trying to get them to buy something, this turns them off quickly. Instead offer up reviews of software or programs you are with and have found to be solid and good.
To create a squeeze page is not hard at all. Just the idea to some is frustrating and complicated. It’s Not.
You just need some good copy of how to word things out to make a visitor want to give up their name and email address. Do a bit of research and check out someone else’s squeeze page and see what they did. You can use them as a model but DO NOT copy what they have!
It is not hard or expensive to create your squeeze page, so take your time and learn the tricks before getting frustrated and quitting. You do not need to spend a lot of money either, you can build your own squeeze page very easily without much cost at all.

When it comes to deciding if you should use a template or design your own website or even hire out to a web designer. This is going to depend on you and your knowledge of HTML and your time.
If you can type and follow simple instructions, it’s best that you try to do it on your own. You won’t only get what YOU want, you will also be able to edit it when you need to and save yourself tons of money
Putting together your own website using templates that you have either purchased or gotten off the internet for free, isn’t difficult if you have the proper tools.
You’ll need what they call an HTML Editor, there are many out there on the internet just do a simple search on your favorite search engine for ‘HTML Editors” you should get tons of results back. If you are short on money and want to use one at no cost, than I highly recommend either 1stpage2000, or NVU, both of these are easy to understand and easy to use.
You will also need a way to put your pages on your hosting account, this is done by using a software program called FTP (File Transfer Protocol) again you can get one free by doing a simple search on your favorite search engine. And again you will get tons of results back, I personally use and am very happy with is SmartFTP the set up is easy and easy to use.
There are also other things to consider when you decide to put a website up on the World Wide Web, and that is to purchase a domain name. A domain name is simply your address to your business on the internet. You also will need hosting, this is where you business located.
For a domain name it will cost you around $9.00 a year and you can get one at GoDaddy.com
For your hosting needs, this is again going to depend on what the main purpose of your website is. You can get hosting ranging from $5.00 all the way up to $50.00 a month. I highly recommend Hostlikeapro.com
